From the Canadian Jewish Heritage Network.  Digitized archives from several sources.

Jewish Life in British Columbia

From the Jewish Museum and Archives of British Columbia.  "The archives acquires records that document Jewish life in BC with ith over 300 linear metres of textual records, 300,000 photographs, and 725 oral history interviews documenting the history of hundreds of local Jewish organizations and close to a thousand Jewish families."

Winnipeg Jewish Renewal Oral History Collection

From the University of Colorado Boulder. The collection is an initial set of audio recordings of interviews from the oral history project conducted by Dr. Jaron Justin Lewis at the University of Winnipeg titled “Rabbi Zalman Schachter’s Years in Winnipeg.” The interviews are with people who knew and worked with Schachter-Shalomi in his early years and document a unique history.

Oral Histories and Western Canadian Newspapers

From the Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada.  The oral history collection consists of 200 audio clips, including oral histories of members of the western Canadian Jewish community, such as rabbis, businesspeople, professionals, politicians, and Holocaust survivors. These interviews were recorded between 1968 and 2011. The newspaper collection dates back to the early years of the 20th century, with Der Yiddishe Vort (The Israelite Press) a Yiddish language newspaper published in Winnipeg. Originally known as Der Kanader Yid (The Canadian Israelite) it was purchased and renamed in 1914. The paper added some English content through the years, ceased publication in 1967, and was revived in 1969. It was supported through donations until 1981, when publication permanently ceased. The Jewish Post was founded in 1925 as an English-language weekly, catering to the increasing anglicized Jewish community in Winnipeg. The Western Jewish News began publication as a weekly broadsheet in 1926 and included correspondents from several communities across western Canada. It was purchased by the owners of the Jewish Post in 1987 and the two papers were merged.
